Bring out your inner James Bond and Lara Croft as Bounce Below re-opens bigger, better and bouncier than ever. . The breath-taking site, in a former slate mine in Blaenau Ffestiniog, North Wales, lets you play, slide, roll, jump and bounce from net to net in a cavern the size of a cathedral. Following a massive refurbishment, the Bounce Below experience now offers four new industrial slides, the height of two double decker buses and six new levels of bouncing fun, giving underground adventurers 400 additional square metres to explore. Visitors enter a network of enormous caverns hidden underground, once home to a working Victorian mine, and now brought back to life as the only subterranean playground of its kind, offering a unique adventure in a beautiful and historic location.

Sphere Mania

We recently had Richard and Emma from Spheremania stay with us. Fantastic fun people who run the daft extreme activity sport of Sphere Riding. The concept is simple, two people wearing full body harnesses are attached inside the Sphere, then rolled down a hill at up to 30mph. Harness Sphereing is not for the faint-hearted and could not be described as a gentle ride! More importantly though it’ll be the most fun and biggest adrenaline rush you may ever experience. It’s not far from here. For more information go to their web site or better yet give Richard a ring 07966 535162, he’ll give you all the low down and sort out your booking for you. If your daft enough to go Glamping, you’re daft enough to do this.

Falconry Experiences

We’re delighted to be able to offer a superb falconry experience at Pentre Mawr. What could be better when walking the 200 acres of Pentre than to be accompanied by your very own hawk? During your experience you’ll be introduced to your hawk, learn how to handle her and then take her straight out flying. Whilst out for a stroll you’ll discover some of the art and history of falconry as your hawk follows along demonstrating her aerobatic skills. She won’t let you get lost, she’ll be checking in frequently by landing on your gloved hand.  If walking isn’t your thing, you can stay put and enjoy the whole encounter while the hawk does all the hard work. No previous experience is needed, your hawk will bring along an assistant who will guide you through the encounter. This is a personal experience, just for you. Your booking won’t be shared with another group. Your hawk wants you to get the best from your encounter.
